FAQ

This Policy applies to reservations made online or over the phone.

All Reservations require a valid credit card for deposit as well as in the venue to complete the reservation.
We reserve the right to adjust reservation times, due to scheduling conflicts, for the day. Any adjusted times will be considered as your party start time, not the original time.

General Rules

• Please arrive AT LEAST 15min EARLY with your party. (During this time we ensure waivers are filled out, give a safety brief, and instructions on how to throw an axe, and go over the multiple games that can be played.)
• The ages for throwing axes are 12 years old and up. Any axe thrower between the ages of 12-17 MUST have a parent sign the waiver for them and MUST be ALWAYS accompanied by their parent or a guardian while in the venue.
• No one under the age of 12 is allowed in the venue.
• All throwers must have closed-toe shoes. No sandals or flip-flops. (We have “Crocs” to borrow and socks for sale in case they are needed.)
• All throwers and non-throwers must complete a waiver at the venue or online.
• For those consuming alcohol, ALL IDs will be Checked.
• You may bring ANY food into the venue.
• Outside beverages of any kind are NOT allowed to be brought into the venue.
• Faxon’s Hatchet House has the right to terminate a party, without refund, due to any party/members not listening to the staff, lewd behavior, intoxication, unsafe actions, etc.
• Faxon’s Hatchet House has the right to cancel any booking prior to the party start time. Payment will not be required in this case, or a refund will be placed back on the credit card used to reserve the time.
• The use of any drugs at our facility will not be tolerated. If anyone in your party has signs of drug use, your party will be canceled without a refund.
• There is a strict NO Smoking Policy inside and outside within 30ft of, Faxon’s Hatchet House. This pertains to cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs, vaping, etc.

Phone and Online Reservations

• Phone and online reservations are subject to the same terms and conditions. Once your phone or online reservation is confirmed, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies and procedures of Faxon’s Hatchet House as defined in the reservation adjustments, cancellations, no show policy listed on our website and contained within our confirmation email, and posted on our website at faxonax.com.

Deposit and Final Payment

• A $25 or 100% (+tax) deposit is required for all online reservations.
• A 50% or 100% (+tax) deposit is required for all private parties.
• Final Payment will be collected prior to the reservation start time.

Cancelations

• Normal operating hour reservations – For cancellations less than 24hrs before the reservation time, all deposits are non-refundable. For cancellations prior to 24hrs before the reservation time, all deposits are refunded via Faxon’s Hatchet House Gift Cards.
• Private party reservations – For cancellations less than seven (7) days before the scheduled event all deposits are non-refundable. For cancellations made prior to seven (7) days before the reservation time, all deposits are refunded via Faxon’s Hatchet House Gift Cards or put towards a future private party. In this instance, future parties must occur within 3 months’ time.
• Forfeited deposits, for either private party reservations or for normal working hour reservations, do not count as credit for future reservations unless permission is provided in writing by the management of Faxon’s Hatchet House.
• Any deposit paid by credit card deemed by Faxon’s Hatchet House to be refundable by crediting back the credit card used for the deposit will be charged a 5% processing fee. There are no exceptions to this policy.
• All private parties are charged for a minimum of 15 axe throwers. The card on file will be charged a deposit for at least 8 people at the time of booking. At the time of the reservation, the card will be charged for at least 7 people or the total remaining number of axe throwers in the party. There is no refund for no-show guests.
• Reschedule
  Normal Operating Hours Reservations – To reschedule your reserved event to a different day or time, you may change the date and time of your reservation to a future date and time as long as Management at Faxon’s Hatchet House is orally notified of the change more than 24-hours in advance of your original reservation time. Please note your original party rate might adjust, as a result of the event rescheduling.
• For all rescheduled requests made less than 24 hours before your event start time, we will try to accommodate the rescheduled request, but note the cancellation policy will apply to less than 24-hour reschedule requests as if they are a cancellation.
• All deposits collected will be credited to the rescheduled date.
• If you ask to reschedule your event, we will do our absolute best to accommodate, but can’t guarantee it.
• If your event is rescheduled less than 24 hours before your scheduled reservation any deposits and/or pre-paid amount(s) paid to that date of notification are non-refundable. There are no exceptions to this policy.
  Private Party Reservations – To reschedule your reserved Private Party Event to a different day or time, you may change the date and time of your reservation to a future date and time as long as Management at Faxon’s Hatchet House is orally notified of the change more than seven (7) days in advance of your original reservation time. Please note your original party rate might adjust, as a result of the event rescheduling.
• For all rescheduled requests made less than seven (7) days before your event start time, we will try to accommodate the rescheduled request, but note the cancellation policy will apply to less than seven (7) days rescheduled requests as if they are cancellations.
• All deposits collected will be credited to the rescheduled date.
• If you ask to reschedule your event, we will do our absolute best to accommodate, but can’t guarantee it.
• If your Private Party event is rescheduled less than seven (7) days before your scheduled reservation any deposits and/or pre-paid amount(s) paid to that date of notification are non-refundable. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Late and No-Show Parties

PLEASE CALL 615-302-8102 IF YOU KNOW YOUR PARTY IS GOING TO BE LATE. WE WILL DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO WORK WITH YOU.

• Normal Operating Hours Reservations – Your timer starts at the time you reserved online. If your party shows up later than that reserved time, the full price for the time reserved time will be paid. We cannot pro-rate the time. Nor can we push another party back due to lateness on your part.
• If your party arrives more than 15 minutes after the reserved time, your party will be considered a “no-show”. Therefore, the deposit will not be refunded nor used for future reservations and the reservation will be terminated.
• Please be courteous to our staff and arrive early to your session, with your completed waiver, and wear close-toed shoes to enjoy your full hour of throwing.
• Private Party Reservations – Your timer starts at the time you reserved online. If your party shows up later than that reserved time, the full price for the time reserved time will be paid. We cannot pro-rate the time.

Reduction or Addition of Headcount

• Normal Operating Hours Reservations- Party headcount adjustments to a lesser amount will change the overall balance owned. If a full balance deposit was put down, all refunds will be via Faxon’s Hatchet House Gift Cards.
• If a party has additions to the original reservation, and it does not require an additional lane, no changes are necessary to the reservation. However, any additional axe throwers will be charged the standard per-person rate on the day of your party. If an additional lane or lanes are necessary, we will work with you to the best of our ability to make lanes available. (A minimum per lane is 2 axe throwers, and a maximum per lane is 5 axe throwers)
• Private Party Reservations – All reservations start at a minimum flat rate and increase according to the number of axe throwers. This flat rate will be the deposit paid 2 weeks in advance of the date and time of the reservation. The remainder of the total balance will be paid at the end of the reservation.

Final Check-ins

• The last check-in for axe throwing is 1 hour before closing time, with no exceptions, if your party is late, it is our discretion to allow you to play a prorated time.
• The last call at the Beer Bar will be 15min prior to closing. It is our discretion to keep the bar open later.

Discounts

• Other than the deposit for axe throwing, all discounts will be applied at the time of check-in, with proof of identification (ID). All sales are final at payment.

Acts of God or Weather

• Regardless of party size, we do not accept cancellations resulting from or related to weather or Acts of God. We will, however, accept the deposit for a rescheduled date and time when our venue can be reopened.
